The IIT entrance examination is one of the toughest exams in the world. No amount of IIT tips or JEE tips will help a student clear this test if he is not efficient enough in his preparations. Efficiency is one of the most important skills for an IIT aspirant. The ability to perform well, the ability to utilize time perfectly and the ability to derive the desired result are what efficiency is all about. It is very important to work hard and keep at it but it is even more important to be efficient in the hard work. If a student is just working hard without any success or improvement, then the IIT tips are not working at all. So, how can a student improve their efficiency?

1. Plan and prepare well before studying

If a student is just starting to study without setting the goals and without strategizing any plan for the same, then there is a high chance that he will be lost in between. So, it is very important to set realistic daily, weekly and monthly goals and plan as strategy according to them. Setting a target will also help a student to finish the concepts on time and there will be spare time to relax as well. Also, planning will help a student collect all the required resources such as what kind of coaching he needs and which books he will need so that he can catch the pace of preparation. 

 

2. Make a schedule or keep a journal

Having a schedule will help a student to manage the time he has well and juggle between studies and the other daily tasks. Every student has 24 hours and how efficient the schedule is will make a difference in the end. Also, allotting fix times will keep the pace of study going well. There are several mock tests and sample papers available online. Also, there are topic wise question papers that a student can solve after finishing a particular concept. So, this is one of the most important JEE tips that every student should follow. Testing regularly will not only improve the speed of problem-solving but will also help a student analyse where he lacks and where he needs to work more. It will also help to improve the accuracy of the answers with regular practice. 

 

6. Make notes and revise regularly

The concepts that are hard to memorize or important ones should be noted down. Noting it down not only helps to memorize it but it also becomes easy to revise it as written notes are handy. A student can also note down the data in the form of diagrams and a summary table. 

 

7. Ask for feedback and help whenever required

A student should never refrain themselves from asking for help or from taking feedback on their performances. It will help them analyse themselves from a third-eye view or an experts angle. Also, if a concept is very difficult to understand, then instead of skipping it, asking for help would be better. 

 

8. Take rest breaks in between

If a student is continuously studying for hours, then the brain might give up and won't take up more information and all the data will be stored in short-term memory. 10. Hydrate yourself and wash your face

As much as eating healthy is mandatory, keeping oneself hydrated is also necessary. The brain is made up of 75% water, and with the proper hydration, it is like refuel the brain to perform better. Also, splashing water on the face in proper intervals helps to keep the mind fresh and active.
