The terrible situation of the Covid-19 pandemic has essentially confined people inside their houses lest they want to get affected by it. Due to this, the education pattern has been severely disrupted as the students can’t attend their classes normally by being physically present in the lecture. Since classes are only being conducted via online platforms like Google Meet, Webex, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.

But the comfort of home doesn’t exactly provide the serious mood required for the studies. Students can’t concentrate on their studies because of all this chaos currently happening around them and end up in trouble during the exam period. Some of the students go as far as to use unfair means in the exams even after being repeatedly warned by their teachers and even knowing the consequences of being caught while cheating.

A lot of negative news is spreading in the country and there are many things to worry about and a lot of precautions that have to be taken in order to stay safe during the pandemic. These things divert the attention of students from their studies and disturb them. Also, there are a lot of restrictions placed on students during this time and it is killing their recreational activities.

Since starting the physical classes is not an option as of now, we are only left with ways to continue preparing amid the lockdown. Be it boards or be it the competitive exams, this pandemic is not an excuse to give up on giving your best for them. Let us see how to utilize this lockdown to the best of our ability and interest

Make a Routine and Follow it Strictly

Making a proper scheduled routine should always be a priority when preparing. It not only helps us keep check of our progress but also ensures that we do things on time rather than simply procrastinating or forgetting them. Most of the people who become successful in life are used to following a proper routine to not waste their time and do their work more efficiently. Since there are no physical classes, there is no definite schedule for students and they tend to become lazy after the classes are finished. This cycle of laziness needs to stop. You should make a timetable which is attainable as soon as possible and adhere to it.

Attend the Classes Regularly

You should attend the online classes as seriously as you attended the normal physical classes. Students tend to skip a lot on the online classes and some of the students simply attend the lecture for getting their attendance marked and don’t pay attention at all to what is being taught in a classroom. Being mentally present in the online classroom when something is being taught is the baseline requirement for learning during the lockdown.

Attend Online Class as Seriously as You would A Physical Class

Online classes are often taken for granted due to the lack of monitoring of students by the teacher or professor. There are cases when students just start the class but don’t listen to what is being taught or play games or binge some series. They don’t understand what they are missing out and it could be harmful to their future. More discipline needs to be maintained during the online classes.

Keep Interacting with Teachers/Peers for Doubts, Clarifications, and Thoughts

Interacting with people keeps you focused and lets the other person know as well that you are paying attention. Clarifying the doubts on the spot is a crucial thing to do for making progress in your studies at a faster pace and interacting with your peers and socializing with them is important for self-development and improving your communication skills too. One should always be open-minded and contribute their opinions in a discussion. Stating your thoughts openly is one of the things that help you do just that. Always give your opinion but in a polite way whenever you have a suggestion or an idea in class.

Focus on Physical and Mental Health

There are no physical activities during the lockdown so don’t forget about your physical health. Set aside some time for yoga or exercise. Do some meditation to calm your mind or read books for extra-curricular activities as mental health is important to keep your concentration upright on studies.Distraction is not confined to games, netflix, or other things that may waste your time. It also includes the negative news that is currently circulating in the entire country about patients or victims of the Pandemic. General knowledge is important but don’t dive into it to the extent where you start to diverge from your studies and don’t follow the irrelevant news.

You should also keep practising online tests and follow this diligently and you can also become good at studies. Stay home, stay safe and keep up the good work!
